All's Good

As we move into the weekend Pat is doing well. He has not had many side effects other than some bone pain, which the Dr says is good, because that means the chemo is attacking his bone marrow. Chloe and I are headed to Spokane tonight to cheer on Brock. LMU will be playing Gonzaga tomorrow, then we go to Portland on Saturday to take on University of Portland. To everyone who will be holding down the fort for me while I'm gone a huge THANK YOU!!!! I do have to make it very clear to anyone that would like to visit, if you have even the slightest sniffle please wait until you are better. Pat's counts are extremely low right now because of the chemo, he has no immune system. A cold that you or I can fight off is life threatening for Pat. I will also ask that visitors please feel free to nag Pat about doing his breather, he'll know I'm behind it....but I don't care. He has to do it to keep his lungs clear and avoid pneumonia. The response to platelet donation has been amazing, you guys are awesome! Well it looks like Chloe and I have talked Pat into a walk so I'd better sign off before he changes his mind. A great weekend to all our friends and family, we love you all. Keep on praying!!!!!
xoxo,
Jules

Hi Pat. I'm just checking in on my favorite mentor. Stay strong because soon after my surgery I will be looking to you for advice on handling chemo, staying strong and focused on the positive. Girls can rock a bald head too right? If I only have half the strength and support you have I know I can kick C's butt!
RECOVERY BABY HERE WE COME!!

Hi Pat & Julie,
Sorry it took me so long to check your blog this week. So much has been happening with you. Thank God you are finally getting the chemo treatment! This has to be the start of good news for you! I called today and made my appointment to donate blood and platelets next Friday, October 19th. If you know of anyone else who wants to go up but doesn't like to drive, I am happy to give them a ride. Just call me (949) 448-9281. I will be leaving about 8am when I drop off kids at school and plan to be back by 2pm when school gets out.
Love and prayers to you all.

High Five! :-) Glad to hear that everything is moving ahead. You must be relieved also. Sounds like you will have lots of visitors to raz you about doing your breathing treatments, and you thought you were going to get a break... I think Julie fixed you good! ha ha! I can't read lips with a room full of people with mask's on, so we will wait till your back in full swing - We will all just have to go have some beer's to celebrate - maybe even Champagne for that occassion! Like MANY bottles! :-) Have a good weekend!

Pat! Wow I just found out about this site. Getting my news from my technology challenged bro (Victor) has left me out of the loop. I am glad to know there is a place to find out the up-to-date info.

It sounds like things are improving and that is good. You are in our prayers. Please know that we want to come and visit but we understand you need some space right now. If there is anything we can do please let me know.

If you are bored check out what I have been upto. I found a website that lets me make t-shirts and stuff with my art. It has been fun. http://www.zazzle.com/jomodad*/

Take care and be sure to let us know if we can do *anything*. Love the Chylinski Family (Mike, Leslie, Jordan, and Hannah)

Hi Pat,

We are all so glad that you are moving forward and we know that you will come through this treatment with flying colors.

Please keep doing your breather and exercising!! If you combine those two activities with one of the best hospitals on the earth and your natural persistence and perseverance, you simply cannot be defeated.

We can't wait to see you everyday soon.

Steve
