Hi to all our family and friends. A special thank you to Erin and Travis for creating this website to keep you all better informed. We truly appreciate every one's concern for Pat and our family, sometimes it is just so difficult to talk personally to each and every one of you. The great news is we have a 6 out of 6 match for Pat's transplant....thank you Maribeth. Our goal right now is to get Pat's leukemia into remission so he can go into the transplant as healthy as possible. He will be starting a new round of medication this week and our hopes are this will get it done so we can get the transplant process started. He has started to feel a little stronger and even asked for McDonald's fries and a coke today. The strength and courage Pat has shown make me so proud of the husband, father, brother and son that he is. Our home is not the same without him here right now, but we know we will get through this. Our children have amazed us, their ability to stay so positive has been the source of my strength. I know without the support of Pat's family, my family and all our friends I would have a hard time putting one foot in front of the other, for that I am eternally grateful. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers, they mean the world to us. Remission is our goal!!! Until next time....good health to you and all those you hold dear. Love, Julie

Pat and Julie,

Sandy has been keeping us updated, and as you know, we can really relate to what you both are going through. It isn't an easy or pleasant journey, but the outcome is worth it!

Let us know if we can help.

Hey there Pat!
I am so encouraged by everyone's comments about your bravery, courage and positive attitude. That is half the battle isn't it?

Bob and I pray for you, your family and your doctors every day. I'm sure you know though that the most important prayer for God to hear is YOURS. I hope through this storm you are spending time bending God's ear, seeking His voice and that your heart is overflowing with how very much He cares for and loves you.

Keep on keeping on my friend and know you are not fighting this battle alone. Aside from all of your family and friends, The Great Physician is by your side!

"For nothing will be impossible with God." Luke 1:37

Love ya!

Pat, we are so happy to see that you are getting stronger. You keep fighting the fight and you believe that everything is going to be fine. There is power in prayer and in keeping the faith. Look at how awsome it is that your very own sister is the perfect match! We pray for you, your family, the doctors and every one around you to stay strong and to know what to do and to say. We miss your adorable face around Tustin Lexus and we can't wait to see you healthy and strong again. Best wishes, Sheri & Joe Hurst (Tustin Lexus)

Pat! I wish I lived closer so I could come give you all my "HUGS" in person!!!! I think about you everyday, and I know what you and your whole family are feeling, the most important thing to do every day when you wake up is to tell yourself that this too shall pass~~When my son was going through his illness I encouraged him to tell his tumor that he was going to kick its ass!!!! At first he was reluctant to talk out loud to himself, but as the days went by he would just about scream it!! Hold on tight, stay strong, and keep smiling~~ You should be very proud to have a great wife and children and of course you know that your brother & sisters are amazing...Love to all of you,
Karin....your favorite Rhode Island Cousin!!!!! xoxoxo

Dear Pat and Julie,

This blog is a great idea - way to go Erin and Travis! I'm so happy to have gotten to know you better over the past year or so. You are both strong and remarkable people with a bright future ahead. You are both constantly in my thoughts and if knowing that someone cares helps the healing process, then you should be feeling better already! Get well soon!

Great Big {{HUGS}}!! Jo Ann
