Another Day....

I'm baaaack! Sorry it's been a while since my last blog. Our weekend was a bit challenging though. Pat bought himself a ticket to the ICU when his heart rate went up to 200 beats per minute. He has what is called a atrial flutter...why not? we haven't had that yet, bring it on. It was caused by some breathing treatments he was receiving. Of course like always, when faced with a challenge he takes it on and battles through it. They think he'll be move out of ICU sometime tomorrow. Thank goodness, watching a heart monitor for hours at a time was almost enough to put me on a heart monitor. Not to mention that he also has hives and can't stop itching. No news on his remission, hopefully tomorrow. Even after all this he still looks great, and is so ready to get on with the transplant. I pray so much for him to receive a bit of good news...he's earned it. Your blogs are so amazing and inspiring, thank you from the bottom of my heart. We have prayers coming from all over the country...people we've never met have embraced our family, that's our silver lining. I know when we are through this tunnel that we will be of comfort to another family as you have all been to us. Good night and God Bless you all, may tomorrow bring us welcome news. Or in my mom's sake "pleasant news". (inside joke)
Love,
Jules

jules, thanks for keeping up with the blogging. It really does help me to know what's going on and makes me feel good when i hear things on the positive side. Robert fills me in with some stuff, but it's hard to ask about it because I know it's hard for him too.

thanks and peace

Julie / Pat, i'm dictating from my mom ...

We are here with Paul and Pamela, reminiscing of the old days, wishing you were here with us so we can laugh with all the boys ... do you remember peeing on the side of the house trying to see who can pee the furthest? (I'm sure i won :), okay i should add to my mom's dictation but i couldn't resist) ... Get well, i can't use the internet so i'll send a card.

Love
Mar & Vic

We are also praying for good news. You certainly do deserve to hear something positive. We continue to pray and have put the word out to all of our friends and family to do the same. Julie, if there is anyting we can do, fix a meal or two, clean your house, do your laundry, run errands, just let us know. Being retired, we have a lot of time on our hands, and we certainly would like to help in anyway we can.
Hugs and Blessings to your entire family.

Dear Pat and Julie,
Wow, what a weekend! Hang in there...we are all praying tomorrow is the day you get some REMISSION news!! You are both so amazing and so strong! You are loved by all who know you! Just the other day I was chatting with Thea and she was going on about how much Pat has done for J. Serra by donating his time and talent to fix up the most awesome golf carts ever for the football team to use!
Well, now it's time for you to let others help you...please don't hesitate tolet us know if there is anything you need. Lots of love,
Your cousin, Brenda :)

Hey Pat,

Keep that strong attitude going. You're almost there. There are so many people that ask about you and they want me to tell you that you are in their prayers.
Robert bought you a lottery ticket tonight. Sorry, I just checked the numbers and you did not win. Darn! I guess you will not be flying everyone to Vegas when you get home. I am expecting a big gambling extraviganza in Vegas when the time comes.
Gavin & Nolan send their hugs and kisses.

Dear Patrick and Julie,
So glad to hear you will be getting out of icu soon. Quite a scare! All part of the battle I'm sure. Patrick, we are such admirers of your COURAGE. People like you and Emily teach us all so much about real life. God Bless You! We're offering our prayers everyday. When you have access to your computer, Check out cureemily.com and see "golf tournament a success". The kids did a great job raising money for Rett Syndrome and had some fun besides. Roger Clemens and Andy Pettit, both of the Yankees were in town to play the Angels. They happened to be golfing there, and took the time to donate autographs and a few minutes of their time. Terrific guys! Never cared for Roger Clemens, but I do now! Their autographed baseball brought $550.00 for Rett Reasearch. Just thought you'd like to see the picture and Eric's blog about the tournament. Good reading material!
Again you two, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Keep up the fight!
Love,
Margie and Pat
